Dr. Hankins announces retirement after 30 years of service

The School District of Gasconade Co. R-I is a very special place. The teachers, staff, and administrators in the District are compassionate, kind, and caring individuals who are committed to providing an exceptional education for students. They go above and beyond and are willing to do whatever it takes to help students find success. I have truly enjoyed being a part of such a strong faculty.

“This is a special place.” This community cares about their school. The support of the patrons in this community gives our students a head start in life. Our students will grow up knowing what kindness, support, and strong character look like.

Finally, I am confident that the Board of Education will find a Superintendent to carry forward the mission, vision, and goals of this great district. As I retire from this profession I have loved for 30 years, I wish all the best for our school and our community.

The Gasconade Co. R-I School District emphasizes academic excellence for all students. Students thrive in a culture that emphasizes hard work, respect, and dignity. Student leadership sets the expectation for these core values in each of the three district buildings.

The district provides a full complement of extra-curricular activities, offering excellent facilities for student athletes, musicians, and thespians. Co-curricular activities for vocational programs help develop tomorrow’s leaders.
